Yesterday I received my first ever cheque for a graphic design job!
A big thanks to the gentlemen at Letterworks, it was a pleasure doing your website! I hope all my clients in the future are as good as you! The money obtained will go towards future projects for Branchy Design, including maintaining websites and launching Bogan's Corner: The Webcomic. In business card news, they came in the mail on Friday, yet I didn't end up collecting them. Mum will collect them on Monday, as at that stage I will be at university back in Hobart. After designing my business card, I sent it away to an online printer that had a great deal going on basic business cards. I ordered a pack of 500 of my custom design, plus a metal card holder so I can look totally boss when handing them out.
They should be here mid-week, so that's something to look forward to! I will be sure to post some pictures of the final result! -Adam I recently launched a website for Letterworks, the signwriter that I have done work experience for in the past. You can view it here: http://www.letterworks.com.au/
It was a nice website to design, mostly because of the fantastic feedback I got from Tim and Michael. With their cooperation we were able to launch the site less than a week after I began designing it! Hopefully the rest of my clients in the future will be like this to work with, but I don't know, clientsfromhell.net still makes me nervous... Branchy out, -Adam Over the past few days I have been doing several design related projects. This is a long blog post, so bear with me! One project has been trying to design a business card for myself, which hasn't been too easy. I have settled on a final design, as shown here: I tried to keep in theme with my website, and I think it conveys the "Less is More" message very well.
In website related news, I undertook the web design process for Letterworks, Scottsdale. I went around Scottsdale with Michael Jacobson, taking photos of the Signwriter's work. It was a rewarding afternoon, some great shots popped up! The site layout is finished and soon will be ready to launch, after we have finished some more content. Check this space for more design related stuff! -Adam My web design adventures have only just begun!
Even though I only did a one semester course in web design, it has already become such a big part of the start of my career. As I am writing this, I have a website ready to go live, TO THE INTERNET. (As soon as the client is ready...) I am about to start another one for a local business in Scottsdale. It's going to be quite an experience, and the money won't hurt either! Watch this blog for more updates in the future! -Adam |
